The financial and environmental cost of heating and lighting is escalating. The cost of technology has, on the other hand, is falling at a similar rate. Energy management systems until relatively recently have only been cost effective in large and multi-occupancy buildings. This is now no longer the case and significant power savings can be achieved with pay back periods of often less than a year. Heating cost savings in excess of 30% are not uncommon. Lighting cost savings in intermittently occupied areas can be significantly more. Our Energy management survey will highlight areas where cost savings can be made without loss of functionality.
